Zlatan headed back to Spain (probably)

Zlatan Ibrahimović, this blogs favorite footy legend, is likely headed back to Spainin 2020 to finish the La Liga season.

Big Z posted the above video today, basically confirming he was done with the MLS, and will head back to Spain at 38 years old.

His last tenure in Spain with Barcelona ended in controversy after the Catalan giants released him following a very public rant where he threatened to whoop Pep Guardiola’s ass. With a Barca reunion pretty much off the table, where do we think Zlatan will end up?

The easiest answer would be Real Madrid, a team very much in transition, who could use a proven striker as a rental to finish the season strong, especially with the underwhelming play from transfer Eden Hazard to start the season. Atletico Madrid could be a sleeper here as well, because after unloading Antoine Griezmann for $135 million this past summer (And signing the future king of Portugal Joao Felix), they still got some money to burn and look to be ready to spend.

Will we see the below come January? Stay posted to find out…
